Alec Simpson

My name is Alec Simpson, and I’ve played soccer since I was 9 years old. I’ve worked under a variety of coaches from different backgrounds: 2 played professional sports in a foreign country, 2 were current players at LSUS, and 3 played amateur soccer. I played club soccer at Red River FC from COVID through my sophomore year and traveled with the team to several tournaments in Dallas, TX, Jackson, MS, and Ruston, LA. In my high school years, I was Honorable Mention in our district my freshman year, 2nd Team All District my junior year, and 1st Team All District my senior year. At the team level, I was Offensive MVP my freshman year, and Overall MVP through my senior year. I played a semester of college soccer at John Melvin University in Crowley, LA. Currently, I’m a college student at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas majoring in History: Social Studies Education. My dream is to be a teacher and a soccer coach! I’m super grateful for the opportunity to work at The Dugout!
