Hi everyone! My name is Alyssa Martin Fields, and I am so excited to be joining The Dugout USA family as a pitching instructor! I was born and raised in Minden, Louisiana, and graduated from Glenbrook High School, where my love and passion for softball truly began. From a young age, softball has been a huge part of my life, and I am incredibly thankful for the opportunities the game has given me both on and off the field. After high school, I continued my academic and athletic career at Louisiana Tech University, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology along with a Master of Arts in Teaching. During my time at Louisiana Tech, I competed as a pitcher for the Bulldogs from 2023–2025. Playing at the collegiate level allowed me to grow not only as an athlete, but also as a leader, teammate, and mentor. Through years of training, competition, and experience, I have developed a deep understanding of pitching mechanics, mental toughness, game strategy, and the dedication it takes to succeed. My goal as an instructor is to help young athletes build confidence, improve their skills, and develop a genuine love for the game. I believe every player has the ability to grow with the right encouragement, instruction, and work ethic. Whether your daughter is just beginning her pitching journey or looking to compete at the next level, I am passionate about helping her reach her goals in a positive and supportive way. I am excited for the opportunity to work with athletes in our community and share the knowledge, discipline, and experiences softball has given me over the years.
